Cost: $20,000-$32,000 (depending on size and scope)
Duration: 8-12 weeks
What’s Included: the Software Selection Project is usually preceded by a Technology Assessment. We use the findings, requirements, and technology roadmap to guide our next steps. These next steps could be:
- Request for Proposal, to invite solution providers to submit a proposal and demonstration of their software.
- Request for Information, to invite a wide variety of solution providers and consultants to submit letters of interest. RFIs have a a second phase, the Request for Proposal.
- Invitation-Only Process: when the technology assessment has revealed that only a small number of solutions would be suitable.
During the Software Selection Project, we handle all the communications and logistics with solution providers for you. We send the RFI/RFPs, receive and review proposals, set up meetings, and serve as your communication link to companies. We help your staff objectively evaluate proposals and solutions–and we give you our take, too.
Here’s what Cherai DiMeo from Unitarian Universalist Association had to say about working with us on a software selection project:
When we in Stewardship and Development at the UUA decided that we needed to move to a new CRM, we met with several potential consultants, but Raise HECK stood out to us because of their warm approach to choosing a CRM. Raise HECK’s honesty about the trials of migration and the eventual smooth landing gave us further hope that as we inched closer to a decision, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we’ll be a stronger nonprofit for it. They encouraged independent research, answered any questions we had or provided resources on how to find the answers we needed. They provided a safe and productive space to work through the emotional side of choosing a new CRM with weekly check-ins and empowered us to make the best evidence-based decision for our organization. In short, we were in good, graceful, knowledgeable hands with Charlotte and Sally.
